Your VIP guide to the most exciting events on the Queen of America Lake.
If you think the lake is just about quiet cruising and sunset cocktails, think again. The 2025 season is packed with Lake George boating events that bring the lake to life, from fireworks to classic wooden boats that look like they belong in a museum (because some of them do). Whether you're a speed junkie, a collector, or just looking for a reason to get your crew together, these are the must-attend events to mark on your calendar.
At Pilot Knob Marina, we make it easy to enjoy every one of them—with our quick launch program, gas dock, and insider info you won’t get anywhere else.d, and ready to go before you even arrive. All you need to do is toast the finale.

This may not be a boating event, but it is at least a partial lake event worth noting. For the athletes among us, this is a competition not to be missed. Bonus: this year’s official charity is the Lake George Land Conservancy. Lake George has been repeatedly named the cleanest lake in America, so you can’t go wrong.
Pilot Knob Tip: Not interested in participating? Being a spectator can be just as (more?) fun! Our crew can let you know where it’s best to watch the swimming portion by boat.
